Cure of Migraine Using the IChing

I went through six weeks of bad migraine headaches for no apparent reason.  One day I felt to do a reading, and the Sage firmly advised me the cause was something within myself. It turned out that I had a very deep harsh judgment of myself for not being a "perfect person."  After deprogramming this, the migraines immediately stopped.

What seemed important about the deprogramming process was the intervention of the Sage's help. It felt like the deprogramming was done by a spiritual force and that I had almost nothing to do with it other than to go through the steps.

I want to add that although I was free of pain, I did some more follow up deprogramming of things related to the self-judgment.

I am certainly very happy about the whole experience.

Addendum: A.C. used our book I Ching, The Oracle of the Cosmic Way, for his reading.

How We Defeat Ourselves

As I was waiting in a chair at a large computer store while Carol was being helped with her computer, I observed the following scene.

Three computer experts were behind the counter, helping customers with their computers. A young man arrived and patiently stood at the check-in sign. Shortly afterward, another young man arrived, and in a bullish manner went past the other young man to the last computer expert in the row, although he was still helping a customer. The first young man was still waiting patiently at the check-in spot. He had not made any attempt to remind the bullish man of his place in the line. After still another while, in which none of the experts had become available, the young man decided to leave, and walk into the back aisles of the store, perhaps to look for something else he needed. Just a few seconds after he had turned his back, one of the experts became available, and was looking for the next customer to help. I signaled that I did not need help, and was waiting for my friend. I then saw him remaining idle, with nothing to do. For a brief moment, I thought I could tell him that there was this young man who had been waiting for so long, and that he might be called back, as I still saw him walking to the back of the store in his yellow shirt. But then something told me not to interfere. I thought how amazing the whole experience was: He had walked away just a few seconds before his window of opportunity opened.

As I was telling Carol about this experience, she suggested that the young man was probably under a spell. We asked the Sage, and found that this was true. The spell was, “I am a nobody.”

The Floodings

I had an interesting perspective given me on the flooding, about acknowledging the place of humans in nature, and affirming the inter-relationships of all of nature. Still digesting this enlarging view. Much great community work to repair houses among total strangers has emerged, with many people freed from their social masks, their true selves alive and full of energy. How to sustain this? It seems to me that the way we live in the West, smothered in messages of the collective ego and the relentless push to buy-consume-display, is so destructive to free expression of our uniqueness and creative agency.

Every Day Just Gets Better

I was having a hard time lately, hating my job, burn out with single parenting, house broken into and all kinds of negative stuff. So I did a reading and got "fallen into an Abyss." I was shocked how right on it was! I Ching never ceases to amaze me. Read it over and over; then took voluntary lay off; at the same time walking into a equine dental practice! I did the meditation to release fears, etc. listened to the inner No, stayed in the present and every day just gets better.

Rather brave, as I have a mortgage, need health insurance, have two daughters still in HS, some debt. But was suffering so, that it was affecting my health and mood. I trusted and allowed the helpers of transformation to take over and guide me. The Sage said, it will come, just be PATIENT! and it did.

The Helpers of Travel

Among the many Helpers that make life easy is the Helper of Travel. The following experience reported by L from England reminded us of many similar ones we had on trips in recent years:

“I asked the Helper of Travel to help me at the start of my journey and found the whole day people were approaching me and leading me out of difficulties I was walking into. I barely carried my case.
It has never happened this way before but everyone was helping me with it.”

For trips that involve different times zones it has proven to be of great help to ask the “Helper that Helps Us Quickly Adjust to the New Time and Place.” It is best to ask this Helper the day before we go on our trip. This Helper is a function we possess both in our psyche and body.
